How can I get PSPICE for Windows 7 (64bit)?

S
Answer by Sean Hill

The PSPICE version is not available anymore, but the latest one released by OrCAD is called OrCAD PSpice Designer . This version is compatible with Windows 8.1 starting release 16.6. Yes, you can run PSPICE on Windows 7, but only the latest version. If you have an older PSPICE version, install the updates and then it should run properly.

I have a problem in installing Pspice in Window 8 64-bit. When I install this software the following error message is showing :

"ERROR Schematics 04:40PM Library not found: marker.slb
ERROR Schematics 04:40PM Warning: markers are unavailable due to errors loading library
ERROR Schematics 04:40PM There was no configured libraries or no library section, [PART LIBS], in the .INI file "

How can I fix this and install the program on my computer?

L
Answer by Leonard Moore

The program wasn't developed to run on Windows 8, but according to the official website, it can be used on this OS. Visit the site mentioned and download the latest version of the product. After you did this, swipe from the right side of the screen, in the search bar type Windows Defender and open the service with the same name. Go to the Settings tab and make sure that the available option is unchecked. Now, install the product using administrator rights by right-clicking on the setup.exe file and choosing Run as administrator. You should be able to overcome the error message that was appearing.
